Our Work

The transition to a more equitable clean energy future means tangible improvements in the lives of Minnesotans.

It means better homes, more transportation options, healthier food, cleaner air, and family-supporting jobs in emerging industries. But beyond the benefits you can see, smell, touch, & hear, there’s another opportunity. It’s the chance to shape the future we share. In a multiracial democracy, we get to decide what’s next. We get to co-create a more equitable clean energy future.

To live this out, we do five kinds of work:

Campaign & Coalition Building: We work in partnership with other organizations to create powerful campaigns to win tangible improvements in people’s lives.

Research & Policy Development: From identifying a problem to drafting a solution, we create new solutions that are positioned for success. Advocacy: We work with climate champions to advance equitable climate solutions, usually at the state-level.

Cultural Work & Communications: We create events, materials, and original content that we share on our own platforms and in the media. From online concerts to annual planners, from mail programs to live tweeting, we’re both visible and visibly future-focused.

Training, Capacity Building, & Incubation: We work with our partners, both in Minnesota & beyond, to build the in-house capacity they need to lead on climate & clean energy. From training cohorts to organizational incubation, we’re committed to our partners’ successes. You can see what we’ve been up to by reading about our campaigns.
